USD
Estimated U.S. self-pay equivalent: USD 35,000 to 55,000. A complete coordinated knee replacement journey, not just the surgery.
This is not a surgery-only quote. For patients who fit the standard pathway, USD 19,500 covers surgery with two knee surgeons, the 19-night stay, pre-operative evaluations, the medication kit, complications insurance where eligible, recovery equipment, all local transport, 24 physiotherapy sessions: 12 in person in Medellín and 12 remote across the first six weeks home, and nurse visits.
Roughly half the estimated U.S. self-pay equivalent. Priced in USD and locked at quote for 30 days. The personalized quote confirms that the standard pathway applies and separately prices any surgeon-identified clinical addition before commitment.
Medellín is served by José María Córdova International Airport, with direct and connecting routes from North America; routes vary by city and season. The Aburrá Valley’s elevation gives Medellín a temperate climate averaging around 22°C (72°F) year round.
We base patients in selected areas of El Poblado for proximity to the surgical facilities, pharmacies, groceries, flat walking routes and elevator-access buildings. Exact drive time varies by property, facility and traffic. Your physiotherapist comes to you.
MedValet was founded in Medellín in 2025 by Edmond Losey, a Swiss hospitality professional who has lived in Colombia since 2016. We built MedValet for patients who want the seriousness of a proper medical pathway without the confusion of organizing surgery abroad alone.
Every MedValet knee replacement is performed by Dr. Alejandro Jaramillo and Dr. Paula Sarmiento, operating together from incision to closure. Your recovery is carried by our physiotherapists and nursing team, and your Patient Journey Director is at every appointment.
Send us your basic information and knee imaging. We review your case, request preliminary surgeon input once the records are complete, and tell you the honest next step. If Medellín isn't the right fit for you, we say so on that first read.
